SIDMA College Sarawak was established in 1998 and is wholly owned by a private company based in Kuching, Sarawak. The college offers Foundation, Diploma, Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in Education, Management, Business Studies and Early Childhood Education. All programmes offered by SIDMA College Sarawak are accredited by Malaysia Qualifications Agency (MQA).

The campus is located on Jalan Haji Taha and is easily accessible, via bus terminals, taxi stations and even penambang (river boat) jetties, seamlessly connecting various routes to and from the campus, linking it to locations and beyond. The campus is also conveniently located near banks, the Kuching Central mosque, Sikh Temple, Tua Pek Kong Chinese Temple, food courts, and even shopping complexes all within walking distance.

Since its establishment in 1998, SIDMA College Sarawak has functioned as the regional center for Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNIRAZAK).

In 2018, two major developments took place. SIDMA College Sarawak received approval as the training provider for the KAP Certificate program or Latihan Kursus Asuhan dan Didikan Awal Kanak-Kanak Permata (KAP). Additionally, the college obtained approval of the SKM Pusat Bertauliah, to offer Level 3 training under the Jabatan Kemahiran Malaysia (Malaysian Skills Development Department).
